Our first glamping experience and thoroughly enjoyed it it was warm and cozy and beautifully presented even loved the dressing gowns. The fire was a wonderful touch on a cold night even more wonderful was the full moon over the river.

Wonderful & will definitely return
We spent two nights over the New Year at Wingtons Glamping and cannot wait to return. The location is lovely on the river; close to vineyards for tastings; Graham was fantastic and everything has been thought of to make your stay relaxing. Wecould not fault a thing. I could go on and on but why not book and experience it for yourself. It really is like heading off on a 1930’s grand tour!

The possums know when the foods cooking
I love staying in non-traditional accommodation and this was amazing, you have everything, the bed was very comfy. It is very quiet. When we cooked a BBQ for dinner the possums were looking around for food so definitely don't leave food sitting around. This was a fun experience and I would do it again. JUNE 2021

We so enjoyed being in our cosy well appointed tent. Even on a day of persistent rain we had a great time. The little combustion fire in the tent to keep us warm and snuggly yet we could have the tent flaps open to the beautiful Tamar river. So quiet and private. Graham made us very welcome and his information on the email was great. Watch our for the brazen possums and pack lightly to get down to the tents. No suitcases. We still have so much we could come back to do here. Or in winter just to enjoy this beautiful space. Thanks!

My husband and I just spent a night away at Wingtons Glamping.
We felt very welcomed from the minute we arrived and greeted and shown around our tent.
It was luxury and had everything you would want/need whilst still having the cosy feel of camping.
We enjoyed sitting by the fire pit with a glass of wine watching the water then retreated inside to the in tent fire to watch movies from the comfiest bed.
We will definitely be back.

The camping area amongst the trees just by the Tamar River was lovely and quiet just the trees and birds. The bed was super comfy, with all amenities supplied! The owner was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend! Would go again!!

The website is really honest and accurate in depicting these beautiful tents. Nat and Graham welcomed us with humble thoughtfulness and unobtrusive hospitality. From quality linens and bathroom products to fully stacked fireplaces ready to light, there are lots of little touches of luxury, and yet the rustic nature of the site balances this perfectly. It’s a bit of a trek from the car, albeit beautiful, so only take down what you’re prepared to carry back up, although Nat generously offered to help with baggage when we arrived. The icebox wasn’t cold enough to chill our food and drinks, but we were lucky enough to have the site to ourselves so we just popped them in the fridge and freezer back up at the little hut. I’d take a bag of ice next time and it would be perfectly sorted. Visits by possums and wallabies and pademelons were a welcome addition to our stay. Would highly recommend this experience.

It’s hard to put into words how fantastic our experience was. Graham and Nathaniel are the perfect hosts. There when you need them, invisible when you want privacy. The tent and balcony were very cosy and the queen size bed so comfy. We enjoyed a gentle paddle on the kayaks on the Tamar River and finished each day with a relaxing chat by the open fire. Graham was also extremely helpful in recommending things to do in the local area. A truly wonderful couple of days!
